The Sharon Academy

The Sharon Academy expects all of our students to pursue post-secondary training -- whether it is college, university, tech/trade school or other training. As such, we provide extensive assistance throughout the application process for college and other post-secondary education programs. Staff at TSA help students explore their options and available opportunities, teach students how to prepare a resume and write college essays, make calls to college campuses on behalf of students, invite colleges to visit TSA, and take students to the annual college fair.

One formal way of providing this level of assistance is through our Junior and Senior year PATH (Pursuing Action, Thought, and Health) class that works with Juniors to answer the question of "Who Am I" and Seniors, "Where Am I Going?". Through this class, students work with our College Guidance Counselor to write a current resume and college essay, and then go through the college search with help along the way.
